Concept Korea at MB Fashion Week

Sep. 9, 7 p.m. at Lincoln Center, “Theater” – Concept Korea show was the first delicious moment after a series of delays and waiting at the airport due to cancelled flight. Relief and joy filled up my mind, urging me to forget that I had already lost the first shows of the day. Korean designers/artists, Kwak Hyun Joo, Ju Young Lee and Lee Jean Youn were equally impressive, though quite different to each other. There were a lot of fashionable sportive pieces as well as looks inspired by the Asian spirit and tradition in their Spring/Summer 2011 collections. Ponytails and hairstyles adorned with big white flowers made the styles look even more edgy. Lighting on this space wasn’t so good for beginners in photography, so my first photos were far from professional in terms of quality and clarity.
